What is an eBay Listing Profile?
An eBay listing profile is a reusable template in WMS360 that stores all the settings needed to list a product on eBay. Instead of manually selecting the category, condition, return policy, payment policy, and shipping settings every time, you configure them once in a profile and select it when creating a listing.
What does a profile contain?
- eBay Account — which eBay seller account to use
- Site/Marketplace — eBay UK, US, DE, AU, etc.
- Category & Sub Category — the eBay listing category (e.g., "Men's T-Shirts")
- Condition — New with tags, New without tags, Used, etc.
- Return Policy — your eBay return policy (e.g., 30 day returns)
- Payment Policy — managed payments or other payment methods
- Shipping Policy — delivery options and costs
- Dispatch Time — how quickly you ship (e.g., same day, 1 business day)
- Duration — Good Till Cancelled (GTC) or fixed duration
- Location & Country — seller location for the listing
- Gallery Plus — enhanced gallery option
- EPS (eBay Picture Services) — image hosting preference
- Private Listing — hide buyer identity
- Store Categories — default eBay shop categories
Why use profiles?
- Speed — list products in seconds instead of minutes
- Consistency — ensure all listings use the correct policies
- Multi-profile — create different profiles for different product types or eBay accounts
- Batch listing — select multiple profiles to list a product across several configurations at once
How to create a profile
Navigate to eBay > Profiles in the sidebar, then click Add Profile. Fill in all the fields and save. The profile will appear in the Select Profiles dropdown on the create product page.
