Multi-Warehouse Stock Management

Manage stock across multiple warehouses in WMS360. Set up warehouses, assign products, and transfer stock between locations.

Multi-Warehouse Stock Management

WMS360 supports multiple warehouses. Stock is tracked per shelf, and each shelf belongs to a specific warehouse.

Setting Up Warehouses

Go to the Warehouse page (route: /clients/ware-house/). The table shows each warehouse's Name, Location, Status, Created Date, and Actions.

Click Add Warehouse to create a new location. Each warehouse requires a Name, Location, and an active Status.

Assigning Stock to Warehouses

Stock is assigned to a warehouse at the point of shelving. When a shelver processes items from Inventory > Awaiting Shelving, the Shelve Product modal requires them to:

  1. Select a Warehouse from the dropdown.
  2. Select a Shelf within that warehouse.
  3. Enter the quantity being shelved.

This means the system tracks exactly which shelf in which warehouse holds each unit.

Filtering Orders by Warehouse

On the Orders page (Order > list), the Warehouse filter lets you view and manage orders assigned to a specific warehouse. This is useful when different warehouses handle fulfilment for different channels or regions.

Shelf Visibility Across Warehouses

On the Shelf page (route: /clients/shelf/), use the Warehouse Filter dropdown to view shelves within a specific warehouse. The table shows Current Items and Vacant Slots per shelf.

Stock Transfers

To move stock between warehouses, use Stock Transfers (route: /clients/stock-transfers/list). See the Stock Transfer Between Warehouses article for full details.
