FAQ: eBay Listings in WMS360

Frequently asked questions about listing products on eBay using WMS360.

FAQ: eBay Listings in WMS360

Where do the product images come from?

Product images are automatically loaded from your active catalogue. You can reorder, add, or remove images on the eBay listing page, but changes are optional. The first image becomes the main eBay listing photo.

Can I set different prices per variation on eBay?

Yes. By default, prices are pulled from your catalogue. Click the Edit button on any variation row to override the price, quantity, or EAN for that specific variation on eBay without affecting your catalogue data.

What are item specifics and why do I need them?

Item specifics are product attributes required by eBay for each category (e.g., Brand, Colour, Size). eBay uses them for search filtering and product matching. Required specifics must be filled in or your listing may be rejected. Optional specifics improve your search visibility.

What is feeder quantity?

Feeder quantity automatically tops up your eBay stock when it drops below a threshold. Enable it on the create product page with a custom quantity. WMS360 will sync stock to eBay to maintain the set level.

What happens when I click Verify?

The Verify button sends your listing data to eBay's verification API to check for errors, missing required fields, or policy violations. It returns a pass or fail result with specific error messages. Always verify before publishing.

Can I list the same product on multiple eBay accounts?

Yes. Select multiple listing profiles on the create product page. Each profile can target a different eBay account, marketplace, or category. WMS360 will create a separate listing for each selected profile.

What is a Shop Category?

Shop categories organise products within your eBay store (not the main eBay categories). For example, you might have store categories like "Nike", "Adidas", or "Men's Clothing". You can set two shop categories per listing.

What are Campaigns / Promoted Listings?

eBay's promoted listings feature boosts your item's visibility in search results and on product pages. You set an ad rate percentage (e.g., 5%) and only pay when your item sells through a promoted placement.

What is Multi-Buy Discount?

Multi-buy discount lets you offer bulk purchase deals on eBay, such as "Buy 2 get 5% off". Enable it on the create product page and configure the discount rules after the listing is published.

How do I edit a listing after publishing?

Navigate to eBay > Active Products in the sidebar, find your listing, and click Edit. Make your changes and click Save & Revise on eBay to update the live listing.

Why does my listing show "Not Listed" status?

This means the product exists in your catalogue but hasn't been listed on eBay yet. Click Manage on the product and select the eBay icon to create a listing.

What does the Listing Options drawer show?

The Listing Options drawer (accessed via the "Listing Option" button) shows read-only information from your selected profile: condition, category path, sub category, picture settings, private listing toggle, international visibility, and variation settings. These are managed in the profile, not edited here.
