Stock Transfer Between Warehouses

Transfer stock between warehouses in WMS360. Create transfers, track in-transit stock, and receive at the destination with partial receipt support.

Stock Transfer Between Warehouses

A stock transfer moves inventory from one warehouse to another within WMS360. Transfers are tracked with their own reference number and status.

Navigation

Go to Inventory > Stock Transfers (route: /clients/stock-transfers/list).

The transfer list shows: Transfer Number, Source Warehouse, Destination Warehouse, Status, Created Date, and Actions. Use the Status Filter to narrow the list.

Creating a Stock Transfer

  1. Click Add Transfer.
  2. Select the Source Warehouse — the warehouse the stock is leaving.
  3. Select the Destination Warehouse — the warehouse the stock is going to.
  4. Add the items to be transferred, specifying SKU and quantity per line.
  5. Save the transfer.

The transfer is recorded with a unique Transfer Number and moves through a status workflow as it is processed.

Transfer Statuses

| Status | Meaning | |--------|---------| | Pending | Transfer created, not yet started | | In Progress | Stock is in transit between warehouses | | Completed | Stock has arrived and been shelved at the destination | | Cancelled | Transfer was cancelled before completion |

After Transfer Completion

Once a transfer is completed, the stock is deducted from the source warehouse and added to the destination warehouse. The updated quantities are reflected in the Shelf page (Inventory > Shelf) and in the Available Qty shown on the product variation table (Catalogue > Active Catalogue > View Product).
